What types of customers have you worked with?
Over the years, I’ve worked with all kinds of clients: individuals, couples, families, small businesses, queer and creative communities, and groups big and small. I’ve covered events, weddings, performances, brand shoots, and deeply personal projects in people’s homes. I really love taking on work that lets me build trust, collaborate, and create images that feel both honest and artful.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin by hearing what you’re dreaming up. We’ll talk through your ideas, look at any examples or references you love, and figure out what feels true to you. From there, we build the shoot together. I keep the process really collaborative and communicative, so you always feel supported and excited about what we’re creating.
What should I know about your studio space?
My studio is located in my home, and I share the space with two very sweet cats. They’re typically kept out of the shooting area, but if you have allergies or concerns, please let me know so I can prepare accordingly or suggest an alternative setup.
Studio sessions may include the use of seamless paper backdrops. Use of seamless paper is subject to a $25 paper pull charge per color, reflecting material use and studio preparation. Background preferences are best discussed in advance, so I can plan accordingly.
What is your rate?
Pricing varies from project to project depending on scope, timeline, location, and how the images will be used. I keep a private Rates & Studio Information page that outlines my current rate ranges and how I work. I’m always happy to share this once I know a bit more about the project, so you can see if it feels aligned. After an initial conversation, I provide a clear, customized quote based on what we’re creating together.
What is “A Place of Our Own”?
A Place of Our Own is an ongoing portrait series honoring queer families in the American South. Each shoot is a mix of documentary and editorial, focused on real queer love, identity, and joy. I’m currently looking for new families to feature—if that’s you (or someone you know), get in touch by submitting here.
What payment methods do you accept?
Do you charge a deposit?
Instead of a deposit, I require a non-refundable retainer. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, I reserve that date and time exclusively for you and do not accept other bookings during that period. The retainer is applied toward your final balance and covers circumstances such as cancellations due to weather, emergencies, breakups, or unexpected hardships. If you need to reschedule, I’m happy to transfer the retainer to a new date as long as I’m available.
How will you deliver my photos?
All images are delivered through Pixieset—an easy, clean, user-friendly online gallery. You can download, share, favorite, and order prints directly from your gallery.
Where do I view my gallery?
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a private Pixieset link sent directly to your email. You can access it anytime, on any device.
When will my gallery be available?
Most galleries are delivered within two weeks. Some projects—especially editorial, multi-location shoots, or larger events—may require more time, but I’ll always communicate the timeline clearly.
Can I bring someone with me to the shoot?
Absolutely—bring a hype buddy if that makes you feel good! Please note, to keep the space focused and comfortable, I limit it to two additional people in the studio (no animals unless previously approved for the concept).
