We’ll start with a conversation about your household, what you hope to share, and what you would like to keep private. We’ll talk through rooms, routines, relationships, and subjects that are off limits, along with the intended uses of the photographs. If children may participate, we’ll discuss permission with their parent or guardian and make space for each child’s comfort and willingness. Questions are welcome, and the details should be clear before you decide to take part.

Tell me which names, pronouns, relationships, locations, or other personal details you feel comfortable sharing—and which you do not. You can skip questions and raise concerns about identifying details in photographs, including children’s faces, school names, mail, or recognizable views of your home. We’ll discuss what is practical and agree on boundaries before sharing. Even without names or an exact location, a photograph or story may still be recognizable to someone who knows you; anonymity cannot be guaranteed.

Before taking part, we’ll discuss whether and how you’ll review the photographs and accompanying text, when that review would happen, and how to raise concerns. Please ask about anything that matters to you, including photographs of children, captions, and identifying details. Any review or approval arrangement needs to be agreed in advance; don’t assume that image review or final publication approval is included unless we’ve confirmed it together.

Please tell me if your comfort level changes. During the session, you can pause, stop, or revisit a boundary. If you have concerns afterward, get in touch so we can discuss the photographs, any consent or release terms we agreed to, and the options available at that stage. Changes or removal after publication cannot be promised. Once material is public, others may copy, download, screenshot, or share it, and removing an original cannot reliably remove copies, search results, or printed material already in circulation.
